Radio is not what it was. The artists can not rely on radio for more new fans. Well, not exclusively, as in ancient times. While college radio remains strong, most of the stations are down and left with limited options as oldies and classic rock to attract enough listeners.

And so, of course, radio listeners are not the same either. We can not rely on radio to introduce us to new groups.
